Sorry about posting this a day late. Yesterday was busy, busy, busy. We celebrated my in-laws 30th wedding anniversary last night and by the time we got home I was too tired to do anything by sleep. But on to the CSA harvest.
This week we received:
- A dozen eggs
- Turnips and their greens
- The first cuttings of kale
- Something similar to Chinese broccoli
- Two Guatemalan blue squash
- A bag of mixed citrus.
We ate all the greens from last week and I have been hoarding the turnips to make turnip gratin. Today I will be juicing the citrus and making pomegranate molasses from all the pomegranates we’ve gotten in the past two weeks. This will be the last CSA pickup until January 8 so I’m going to try and make it last.
